Group Assignment 2

Group Assignment 2 (only one answer to be submitted per batch)


1. In the modern world, is it better to have a small nuclear family than a large joint family?

2. How has the role of the housewife changed as the anchor of the family in the last one or two generations?

3. Divorce rate in India is about one-tenth of what it is in the USA. What does it tell us about our family structure?

4. Will a single child grow up to be different from a child with brothers or sisters?

5. How do the needs of today’s child differ from children of the twentieth century?

6. What are the 3 most important factors that make a happy and harmonious family?

7. How does behavior (role-modelling) of parents affect long term behavior of their children?

8. Is concept of family relevant at all in future, or will it have to be completely overhauled?

9. What is the significance of communication in the bonding of family members, and how can communication be improved?

    Hi all

    Since this is a group assignment, how about discussing this topic in person? I know, time is a major constraint, but the questions put forward demands a discussion and it is so interesting and relevant with today's times.
    Guys, we need to meet up is what I feel to come to a proper, healthy, and right conclusion. This weekend we are all busy, how about staying back in class on sunday for an hour or so?
    Moreover, we need to select a group leader too.

    As we are meeting at 3 pm on saturday, can we make it half an hour early to discuss abt the group leader and group assignment. Our classes r for a long hrs on saturday and sunday.. It is gonna be too hetic to stay back and discuss.. Kindly give a thought abt it...

    I am fine with 2.30 on Saturday and also with Sunday after the class. The rest of you should decide and communicate.

    Even I am fine with coming to class half an hour early on both the days.. also I thought we can cover the emotions list (I Group Assignment) and finalise the comments(I will be updating it finally on friday and publishing it).. also discuss the possible emotions other than given in list.. as we need to submit the same in sunday class..What you guys think..

    I dont mind coming early on saturday.. Or staying after class on sunday.
    I cant stay back after class on saturday as it'll be late by then.. (the class is from 3-7)

    Since a majority of us have no issues, staying back on Sunday or coming early on Saturday, it's time we decided what to do.
    Guys we just have another day to decide. Let's make it fast. Saturday 2.30 or Sunday after 1pm.... ????
    I would suggest, Saturday 2.30 .... Feel free to disagree....

    I think the best way is to publish each question as a Post, and let people add "comments". That way Deepa can simply consolidate all of them easily.
