A wife finds out that:
1. Her husband has been arrested on the charge of murdering an unknown child.
2. Her husband has had an extra-marital affair.
What would be a typical reaction in the first case, and what would be a typical reaction in the second case?
Why the difference?
Consolidated Answers:
Reaction Case 1:
• Shock, denial, disbelief and scared.
• Plays a role of protector, defends the husband.
Reaction Case 2:
• Betrayed, cheated and depressed.
• Jealousy, shame, shock and anger.
• Walk out of the marriage.
• Shattered, unloved, unwanted and deep sense of frustration.
• Victimized, helpless and hateful of husband.
Why the difference?
• The first case, even though the husband has made a mistake, the wife tends to forgive him and accept him, as the crime is directed against someone else. He still belongs to the wife. However, in the second case, the wife considers herself the victim and looses all the sympathy she has for the husband.
• She may also believe that her husband would never commit such a crime and hence the support in the first case. Where as, in the second case, the wife could easily show intense reactions, as she immediately feels cheated.
• In case 1, the relationship between husband and wife is stronger than the “stranger”, hence she supports. Where as in the second case, the very relationship is in question, hence she feels victimized.
• Both the cases concern her husband in the first case she know her husband well and will not suspect him of committing a crime. In the second case in spite of doing her best he has betrayed her.
• In first case she did not loose her hope & still believed and thought it may be or may not be his fault. In second case she totally got some kind of aversion towards him; she lost a sense of belonging.

Emptiness (Blankness) - Emal
Posting on behalf of Emal:
Emptiness (Blankness)
In life’s journey as I was growing up had this feeling of loneliness & left out all most every day. Now since have got a very loving and caring life partner its been quite a few months this feeling of loneliness is not wondering around me. But after marriage or in my life 1st time I experienced emptiness when my husband travelled 3 days on official visit last weekend. Am generally very bold person I did not fear that I have to stay all alone for 3 full night @ home. Weekends in the day I was completely busy with class and institutional visits, so that was ok. I step in to home to see I was not welcomed with a smile or hug, No arms where I can rest in peace. No eager ears waiting to listen my DCS class stories, I thought for myself “Except the reality” that some one is not there today. All was fine went back to sleep cause I was very tired, read book for some time than i was fast asleep. It continued the other day whole day I was busy the next day I woke up got ready left home. I boarded a bus and was thinking. From yesterday there has been no action / reaction in me. No smile no enthu I was just like a robot where, I woke up, got freshened, get ready, had my coffee, lock the door, run for my destiny. Life was so empty for complete 3 days. Surprising!! Discovered something new J
Note: Thought Of Emptiness (What I Discovered)
Peace

Musings!!
From my childhood I always loved to talk to someone, because I loved meeting new people.
"Never met a stranger ," some say but I have this uncanny ability to get to know others
quickly and easily. My smile is the one which can draw any stranger to me as a known one
within no time.
As I grew up I felt I did whatever was very close to my heart . I believed in cherishing
things which were very important to me : faith, family, relationships.
Withstood the loss of the loved one believing in life.
Today I am living my dream and want the same for others.
The message I convey is, when individuals recognize their god given uniqueness and live
accordingly lfe takes on new purpose and meaning. Personal satisfaction abounds.Teams
function more effectively and organisations grow and prosper!

A thought by Emal
"Was sitting in the corner bench of the park
looking at huge grown trees, different types of trees
Was feeling as tho am in some hill station
was feeling world (Bangalore) is so calm, peaceful and adorable
when i looked up it was like all branches / leaves of trees were like shamiana
there we birds chirping, flying high with out barrier (cage)
some dogs were sleepy and yawning, some were active
some were playing and some were have a nice evening walk
without belt around its neck
There were lot of people walking around, Some very serious
Some on phone, some were pushing themselves to jog
Few couples who were completely dwell in there own world
Sat there for an hours time and just experienced the silence
Finally i felt "Life is so beautiful, Calm and Peaceful"
Note: We have negative and positive around us choice ours what we choose to communicate or experience. I choose / experienced calm sweet misty breeze and peacefulness.
Peace
