It was foolish on the part of the doctor to put the blame on somebody else. As a doctor there is some kind of respect that is given to the individual and it is entirely upto him to maintain the bandwith of this respect and see to that it does not tilt towards the lower side where the respect will be lost. Simply rephrashing the same sentence would have made all the difference

The problem according to me is not only 'how' the doctor reacted but also how the son percieved the situation as!
ReplyDeleteMan is born to die. Any normal human being would get affected by the Doctor's comment, and the son going into depression is natural. However, better sense should've prevailed upon the son.
ReplyDeleteThe son on his part did his best to revive his father, in the process, if the catastrophe occurred, the son should accept it as divine intervention and that it was time for his father to exit the world of mortals.

ReplyDeleteI feel the man should understand the reality & he has to think that nothing was in his hand everything just happened. I feelt that the man should overcome his feel of guilty.
Death is the only reality. The man should console himself by telling himself "I looked after my father well till the very end. I am happy that he had a peaceful end".
