  1. There is a lot of peer pressure among children, to out-smart the other. I have noticed that the kids of this age want the latest and greatest of gadgetry, toys etc. The needs of today’s child is more materialistic, however, it is the parents’ duty to ensure that these are handled well.

  2. More in terms of materialistic demands as per the speed of the present generation going through. Neither time is given to think about values & system nor aware of it in some cases as parents are ignorant about it

  3. They want more independence. They want to enjoy freedom. They don’t want to be bound by any laws or rituals of any system.

  4. Todays child is aware of his rights but not duties. he makes demands but will not bow to others' demands. Influenced by technology, exposure and friends, today's children have become independent thinkers, logical and to a large extent self centric. They are insensitive to others (specially the elders) feelings. Of course there are always exceptions.

  5. whether in the past, now or the future, I feel needs of children remain same like love, affection, guidance, support etc. Day by day with nuclear families and both parents working under lot of pressure, even these needs are not met. In a joint family even if the a parent is not there children would have got the affection and guidance of another family member.

  6. Yes. Now the child demands everything which noway we can compare to our childhood . It wants different watches at the age of 5 or 6 .. It can ioperate any mobile of new tehnology... even the computer.. It is happy in playing Vedio gmes than going out and play...
But at the same time the intelectual levelof the childre has increased compared to 20th century.
